Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actor from Sweden. Her roles were in numerous films, both European as well as American. She is mostly known for her work in the comedy-drama film 'La Dolce Vita'. It was a huge critical and commercial success as well having won an Oscar at the Cannes Film Festival 1960. Prior to her first acting gig, the Swedish-born actress worked as a model in the fashion world. She was crowned an award in the Miss Sweden competition. When she moved to the US she acted in films and in small role. The first time she had a role that was acknowledged by the director was in the movie "Abbott & Costello Go to Mars", in which she was a Venusian guard. Her role was soon recognized with the Golden Globe award in the "Most Promising Newcomer," category after appearing in the film 'Bloodalley'. In her long career, she was a part of various other movies, such as the film 'War and Peace', which is an American-Italian war movie "War and Peace," the Western production 'Valerie' and the British adventure crime film, 'The man inside", as well as the French-Italian drama 'The Dam of the Yellow River'. In 2015, she passed away, at the age of 83.
