Lori Greiner (born Lori Husman) is an American businesswoman and TV star. Since 2009, she has served as a Shark or a Shark investor, in ABC's reality TV show about business Shark Tank. As a student, she was fascinated by making and selling custom jewelry. When the concept for an organizer made of plastic popped into her, she displayed it to females in the street to observe their reactions. Her product was patented, and then began to sell it on the internet and off. She kept adding products. Her portfolio contains more than 1,000 successful products, 120 US patents as well as international. Being a sharp thinker and having a solid judgment, she's able tell instantly if a product can be described as a "hero or a zero" which has led to 90 percent success for her company. Strongly believing that if one gets lucky enough to achieve success, they must do something to make a difference for others, she annually makes donations to charities of all kinds.
